**NEWS at November 2021** You can now donate to us by text! You can do this very easily by following the instructions below:

1. Supporters send the word PARKS or Parks to 70085

2. A message will come back to you asking how much you would like to donate (max is £20 via text)

3. Note that you will be charged for your text at whatever rate your mobile provider charges, and this varies from provider to provider so you might want to check.

Friends of Ilkley Riverside Parks is a voluntary organisation and a registered charity. It is run by volunteers (The Committee) and all the work is done by volunteers.

We have a variety of projects on the go at any one time, and we do need funds to be able to carry our these out. Whether it is for equipment, such a Litter Pickers, or sanders and paint brushes when we are renovating the benches, or for materials such as paint  or varnish, we need funds to support the work we do.

We also have larger projects, such as the Playground Renewal, for which we have set up an Appeal, or  the new Wildflower Meadow areas, or new children's bins to encourage the children to get into good habits, or new signage to make it clearer what is available in the Parks or a revamp of some of the flowerbeds in Riverside Gardens. All these need funds. We will provide the elbow grease and we will apply for funding where we can, but donations from the Public is an important element to show the support we received from visitors and local people.

Finally we do need funds  just to pay for our running costs including things like Public Liability Insurance, Publicity materials, petrol for our generator, sanding discs for our sanders, etc.

NB: Please say what project you would like to donate to if you want to donate to something specific or whether you are happy for the funds to be used to support the organisation's running costs, as mentioned above.

GIFT AID:

3. If you are a UK Tax Payer and you are able to agree to give Gift Aid then FOIRP will received an additional 25p for every pound you donate. If you are happy to do this then please complete the attached form which just confirms your full name and address. This allows HMRC to confirm that you are a UK Tax Payer. The email address allows us to confirm receipt of your donation.
